The Verdict

Toxic to dogs - never feed

What It Is

A tree nut sometimes found in treats and baked goods.

WTF Fact

Dogs are the only species known to get sick from macadamia nuts - within 12 hours a dog can turn weak, wobbly, feverish and shaky. It’s rarely fatal and usually passes in a day or two, but it’s a real toxin, not a “mild upset,” and has no place in a dog’s food. No reports in cats.
