Oakmoss extract
مستخلص طحلب البلوط
Restricted aroma material · CAS: 90028-68-5
Caution - only the purified version is legal
Why this verdict
Legacy declarable allergen; legal ONLY in the atranol/chloroatranol-reduced form (those impurities are banned, Reg 2017/1410). Whole untreated oakmoss is non-compliant.
What It Is
The classic mossy-chypre base note from a lichen.
That deep mossy 'chypre' note. It's still allowed, but only after its two banned allergens (atranol/chloroatranol) are stripped out - so compliant oakmoss is far gentler than the vintage material.
